tortiere
Ingredients:
Tortiere
2 lbs ground pork
2 lbs ground veal
4 potatoes cooked and mashed
2 cups water
2 tsp parsley
½ cup chopped celery
4 tsp poultry seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
crust
1 lb tender flake
1 cup water
1 egg
1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp baking powder
makes 3-4 pies
(can be frozen before baking)
Instructions:
brown pork and veal…..add all ingredients….and cook for 1 hour…add more water if necessary…should be very moist..let cool
make pie crusts and fill
bake at 350 until light brown about 45 minutes until golden brown
